The wait is over, the stage is set, and the ultimate STEM showdown is about to begin! The VI Regional Science Bowl Finals are happening today, March 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at the UVI Innovation Center on St. Thomas, and the most brilliant young minds in the Virgin Islands are ready to compete!
In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Science Bowl® (NSB), the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) is pleased to present this electrifying competition, where top student scholars will battle for the prestigious honor of representing the U.S. Virgin Islands at the National Science Bowl Finals in Washington, D.C.!

St. Croix District:
Middle School: Eulalie Rivera PreK-8 School Team 1 & Church of God (Holiness) Academy
High School: St. Croix Educational Complex Teams 1 & 2
St. Thomas-St. John District:
Middle School: Lockhart K-8 Teams A & B
High School: Charlotte Amalie High School Team A & Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Team B
These unstoppable teams will go head-to-head in a high-intensity, fast-paced, game-show-style battle, answering rigorous questions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Energy, and Mathematics. Months of training and preparation all lead to this moment, who will emerge as the ultimate STEM warriors?
The National Science Bowl®, one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the U.S., has inspired students since 1991, fueling their passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
“Today’s competitors are the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. We are immensely proud of their dedication, and we can’t wait to see which team will seize victory and take the Virgin Islands to the national stage,” said Commissioner, Dionne Wells-Hedrington.
