Virgin Islands Department of Education Guidance on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Activity in Schools – PSA and Flyers
The Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. In alignment with the memorandum issued by Governor Albert Bryan Jr. on January 29, 2025, VIDE has provided specific guidance for its employees regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
To ensure parents, guardians, and students are informed, VIDE has developed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) video and informational flyers in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole outlining key policies and protections for students and school personnel. These resources reaffirm that the primary responsibility of school personnel remains the education and protection of all students.

We encourage parents and guardians to review the flyers and PSA video to stay informed. VIDE remains dedicated to fostering a supportive school environment for every student. We stand with our families and will continue to ensure that our schools remain a place of learning, safety, and opportunity for all.
