Fifteen 6-8th grade students at the Eulalie R. Rivera PreK-8 School were inducted into the new Jewel Ross Brathwaite Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society during a Candlelight Ceremony held at the school on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The charter members of the chapter were selected to join the prestigious national organization based on their embodiment of five principles: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character and Citizenship. The chapter was named in honor of retired distinguished educator and longtime Eulalie Rivera principal, Mrs. Jewel Ross Brathwaite, who offered words of encouragement and inspiration to students. In recognition of the proud occasion, Principal Joanna Brow and Assistant Principal Debbie Colbourne-Thomas declared that "good things are happening at Eulalie Rivera School!"
