On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, students from Ivanna Eudora Kean High School and Charlotte Amalie High School were invited to interact with STEM professionals and UVI engineering majors at the Society of Women Engineer’s Mentorship Brunch. The event was designed to expose female students to lucrative and exciting careers in STEM and offered ample opportunity for the teen girls to engage in interactive STEM activities. The event was organized in partnership with the VIDE and UVI as a Women's History Month initiative and was aimed at celebrating women's diversity and strength in STEM. It was sponsored by Heavy Materials of St. Thomas, which also included one of its female engineers to interact with the students.
