The Virgin Islands Department of Education welcomed the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and FEMA Administrator Brock Long on a tour of the hurricane-ravaged Arthur A. Richards Junior High School on Friday, August 3, 2018.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is under the purview of the Department of Homeland Security. FEMA has been instrumental in hurricane recovery efforts in the territory and has a great working relationship with the Virgin Islands Department of Education.
