ST. THOMAS, USVI – Lisa Hassell-Forde, Ph.D., principal of the Addelita Cancryn Jr. High School, announces the following School Year 2016-2017 schedules for photo IDs for incoming 7th and 8th grade students, and orientation for all students.
PHOTO IDs FOR INCOMING STUDENTS
Students should report to the library dressed in the school’s uniform shirt to take ID photos. The fee is $15.
Tuesday, August 30
- 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: 7th graders with last names beginning with “A” through “M”
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: 7th graders with last names beginning with “N” through “Z”
Wednesday, August 31
- 9:00 a.m. – 11 a.m.: 8th graders with last names beginning with “A” through “M”
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: 8th graders with last names beginning with “N” through “Z”
All returning students who have lost, destroyed or faded ID cards must have a new one printed on Monday, August 29 upstairs in the main office.
ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
All students should report to the auditorium
Thursday, September 1
- 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: 7th graders with last names beginning with “A” through “H”
- 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: 7th graders with last names beginning with “I” through “Z”
Friday, September 2
- 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon: all 8th graders
Students must present a photocopy of their updated immunization record and applicable letters for medical conditions. Students must attend orientation in full uniform and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The school’s administration would like to avoid a make-up orientation schedule, therefore parents and students are asked to be present on their respective dates of orientation. All returning 7th and 8th grade students with outstanding obligations from the 2015-16 school year will not receive a schedule until they are paid.
School fees are $18 for insurance, $25 for activities and $15 for ID cards.
