For more than two decades, band students at John H. Woodson Jr. High School have taken to the stage to display their talents to their peers, parents and the community. This year, students followed in the proud tradition and wowed a crowd gathered in the school's auditorium on Feb. 25, 2016 at the 21st Annual Band Recital. In fact, the student musicians did double-duty that day--performing for their peers during a 9 a.m. concert and later that evening at a public performance at 7 p.m. The talented group of students performed solos on the bass guitar, alto sax, flute and other musical insturments, as well as an ensemble. The group is under the direction of Mr. Mario Thomas.
