The fathers of Ulla F. Muller Elementary School participating in the Fathers Are Role Models (F.A.R.M.) group invites fathers and their children to a special movie night on Saturday, February 27 beginning at 6 p.m. at Emancipation Garden.
The event is being held so fathers can bond with their children under the stars and will feature a family comedy. Complimentary food and beverages will be prepared and served by F.A.R.M. participants. Children should not be dropped off, but are required to be supervised by an adult at all times. Fathers and their children are requested to bring fold-up chairs, towels and/or blankets.
Although the event is geared toward fathers, other parents and/or guardians are invited to attend with their children.
Movie night is a joint effort between the Department of Education, St. Thomas-St. John District Division of School and Community Affairs, and the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation. F.A.R.M. is a school-involvement club exclusively for fathers and father-figures of school-aged children. Its mission is to improve student attendance, and to tackle challenges some men face in participating in their children’s personal and educational development.
