  Special Congratulations to Mr. Steve Cabrera ‘Employee of the Month’ for January 2016 in the Division of Maintenance and Plant Operations, St. Thomas-St. John District. The Maintenance and Plant Operations Team appreciates the time and dedication Mr. Cabrera has put into his job over the past 28 years. As an integral part of the Maintenance Team, Mr. Cabrera displays great enthusiasm to learn and grow professionally. Mr. Cabrera has a high level of proficiency in handling tasks assigned to him on a daily basis. Maintenance 2016 Theme: "Configuring the past to develop the future" Each month, the Maintenance Team will select or vote for our outstanding Employee of the Month. The employees are evaluated scientifically by allocating points for their weekly performances, and at the end of the month we formally declare the best performer. The best performer is suitably rewarded with a certificate, office celebration and additional appraisals. The very concept is highly encouraging for all of our employees and is done as a morale booster.  Employees also become duly motivated on recognition being showered on their fellow employees, being adjudged as the best employee by their coworkers. This process ultimately paves the way for cementing amicable labor relations and it could also help the Maintenance Team attract and retain excellent employees.
