Summer Enrichment Opportunities for Students - STX District

This summer the St. Croix District is offering online courses to enhance your child's educational experience through Summer Enrichment and Interest-based Academies that build skills and/or bring subject matter interests and hobbies to life!  These courses will be delivered completely via distance learning. Students are required to have internet connection and a device to attend.

Public and Non-Public School students may apply.

Summer Enrichment Programs

 STEAM Across the Curriculum Summer Academy

This program is for our elementary students in grades 1-6. This 6-week program is broken into two sessions daily. Session 1 focuses on academic tutorial and interventions, primarily in Reading and Mathematics. Session 2 allows students to participate in interest-based activities all conducted virtually. 

Summer Bridge Academy

This program is for students leaving Kindergarten, 6th and 8th grade. This program provides students transitioning to 1st, 7th and 9th grade with ELA, Mathematics, and organizational skills needed to reduce retention and succeed academically.


Summer Interest-based Programs

STEAM (Grades 3-5)

This Summer STEAM Academy offers learning opportunities that build skills in core subjects and strengthen students’ confidence as learners. STEAM anchors activities in Science, English Language Arts, Art, and Mathematics.

Summer Computer Science Academy
This program provides students in grades 5th through 8th with the opportunity to develop their coding skills. This 6-week program will focus on building the next generation of innovators by promoting collaboration, participation in building games, interactive stories, websites, etc. 

 

Math Science Research Academy (Grades 7-11)

This program engages students in grades 7-11 within learning opportunities that stimulate high interest in math and science. Students will be immersed in project-based learning through problem-solving, scientific research, and innovative projects that encourage critical thinking for
