All individuals chosen to coach a VIDE school sports team will have to sign the agreement below and turn in to their Principal for each sport's team they coach before beginning coaching. It must also be submitted when requesting a stipend.
Updated to correct version at 10 am on Wednesday October 24, 2018
All sports coaches who are currently coaching a VIDE school sports team should now be certified. Coaches who are not certified can’t receive a stipend. Coaches of teams whose sports do not start until later in the year should continue working on their certification or recertification. But remember, School Principals can only choose certified coaches.
VIDE Sports Certified coaches previously certified before 2018 must complete courses in Concussions and First Aid by September 2018 to maintain their certification.
Go to the vide.vi/our divisions/Coaches Certification Information and the NFHSLearn.com website to find out more information about the online courses.
