 DESCRIPTION

A secondary school teacher provides instruction at the junior or senior high school level in a specific content area.  The teacher uses various teaching methods, including lecture and demonstration, audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations with the ultimate objective of preparing students for advanced education and/or the job market.  Certification in the academic subject area is required. This is a ten-month position.  Teachers are represented by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).
